Students studying in class-12 science have to appear for GUJCET exam. The Gujarat state education department has announced the form filling date for GUJCET 2023 exam to be held this year. Students can fill the form for GUJCET exam from January 6 to January 20. Students can fill the form online from at www.gseb.org and gujcet.gseb.org website. A fee of Rs 350 has been kept for filling this form. Students of Class 12 Science A, B and AB groups will take the GUJCET exam.
About GUJCET 2023
Notably, GUJCET exam is conducted after 12th science stream for admission to degree diploma, degree engineering and pharmacy. GUJCET exam has been made compulsory as a common entrance test since 2017 for taking admission in science stream after class 12 (10+2). So this year, GUJCET exam is being conducted for students of Group-A, Group-B and Group A, B of science stream for admission in degree engineering, degree diploma and pharmacy courses in the state.
GUJCET 2023 Exam Pattern – Syllabus or Paper Style
Government of Gujarat Education Department Resolution No. – 1217410367 dated 25/10/2017 from the academic year June-2019 in the registered schools of Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in Class-12 science stream in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics subjects. NCERT Textbook is implemented. The existing syllabus prescribed by the board for the NCERT based class-12 science stream will be for the GUJCET-2023 examination.
Exam Structure for GUJCET
For Gujarat Common Entrance Test, there will be multiple choice type objective type questions (MCQs) of the given subject and the questions, marks and time will be indicated against it. The GUJCET syllabus comprises of four sections namely, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The Physics section covers topics such as Mechanics, Waves & Optics, Heat & Thermodynamics, Electricity & Magnetism and Modern Physics. The Chemistry section includes topics such as Atomic Structure, Gases & Liquids, Chemical Bonding, Organic Chemistry, etc. The Mathematics section comprises of Algebra, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Calculus and Statistics. The Biology section covers topics such as Cell Biology, Genetics, Evolution, Ecology and Plant Physiology.
